Dr James Baren is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist who undertakes all aspects of diagnostic and interventional MSK radiology including spinal and CT guided intervention.

Overview
Dr Baren graduated in medicine from The University of Edinburgh in 2011 and completed foundation training in Edinburgh and Fife before moving to West Yorkshire for core surgical training.
He completed radiology training in West Yorkshire before undertaking a post-CCT fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology in Leeds.
He was appointed as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2021.
Dr Baren enjoys spending time with his young family, sports and travel.

Research and Teaching Interests
Dr Baren has a keen research interest having authored several peer reviewed papers and book chapters and regularly lectures at national radiology conferences.
He is actively involved in teaching both undergraduates and junior radiology trainees and acts as an educational and clinical supervisor for doctors training in radiology.
